"Woodland Friends" in a new show called "Burnt"

Remember these little woodland creatures we made that were part of our From Portland With Love screen printed card set? Well, now they’ve been lazer-cut into wood by our friend Joe at Engrave. It’s for a show he curated at Together Gallery called “Burnt” featuring pieces by a lot of really awesome people. If you’re interested in the set, you can contact the gallery here.

Also, check out our friend Betsy Walton’s collab show with Apak, Jill Bliss, and Yellena James called “Elemental” which opened this week at Together Gallery. Really incredible stuff. You can see it all online here.

New Work: Stacy Clark "Connect the Dots" Album Artwork

We just posted to our site the album artwork for Stacy Clark’s latest release, “Connect the Dots.” The art is based on the story of a constellation chaser who leaves his love on Earth in search of new constellations. It has been finished for some time now and we can finally share it with you. We included a large piece of artwork that didn’t make it into the final package, too. Check it out here!

Work Preview: Mural for Grid Plane & Instrument

We’ve been contracted by Grid Plane (an amazing Portland-based design studio) & Instrument (an equally-amazing studio) to paint a mural in their office. The mural is going to be painted in their game room, nearest to their ping pong table. We came up with the idea to paint eight ping pong legends that we dreamed up with the dudes and ladies at GP/Inst. Josh developed the pattern to be screen printed behind the players on the wall and each ribbon will have the players name, country of origin, and win/loss record.

These sketches are just a sneak peek! We’ll be recording and posting a time-lapse of the installation as well as some proper photos of the completed mural.

"Robin's Guitar"

We were a part of Sezio’s 2 year bash and contributed this piece that we call “Robin’s Guitar.” We listened to a lot of Fleet Foxes while painting it and went with the name as a nod to the lead singer of the band (his name is Robin). The show was in San Diego and we wanted to to capture the sun, ocean, and over all good vibes that we get when back in our home town. You can purchase this piece by contacting this fella.

We just wrapped up this video for T-Mobile with the crew at Tangible Worldwide. It’s a 1950’s inspired video to promote the Garminfone that will play in T-Mobile stores. We love how sexy travel was at that time and thought it paired nicely with the phone’s GPS feature. We researched a lot of mid-century greats to get inspired for the style. Motion by this awesome beast. Enjoy!

The Sun Misses You Too: New Jolby Tee

Jolby x Grove iPhone Case Hits the Interwebs

Crazy stoked to announce our latest collab with a great friend at Grove, an iPhone case company in Portland. They just added us to their artist series with our Tree Heart icon engraved into their awesome bamboo cases. They chose to use bamboo for their cases because of its strength and, “…bamboo is a rapidly renewable grass which is the fastest growing plant in the world and can be harvested for use in 4-6 years. It plays an increasingly important role in environmental protection by reducing our reliance on timber forests.” Neat! There are 3 different types of wood to chose from and you can also color the bezel on the top side.

We recently finished this pattern for our best buds Eric & Rachel who are getting married. This pattern will be used on their invite and on their wedding site.

This weekend, May 1st and 2nd, is Crafty Wonderland, a showcase of 200+ of Portland’s craftiest people (including us). We will be debuting a new card set called “From Portland With Love” and will have a ton of our prints to look through as well as some new originals we are calling “Jolby Minis.”

We’re currently working on a new Portland-themed screen printed card set that will debut at Portland’s Crafty Wonderland. It will be a four card, 6 in x 6 in, screen printed set that you can get your hands on starting May 1st. Above is a preview of one of the cards (Portlanders: try to spot the hidden image).
